Raghu Dixit
At the first instance and since this person is lesser to the masses, I thought Raghu Dixit is another mediocre singer with mediocre song compositions, but to tell you the fact, this is an awesome album. I have listened to it several times and wanna listen more.
I was surprised at the compositions. None of the songs have a monotonous feel and all individual song has its own kinda music and feel. Some have the sufi feel like the Junoon band from Pakistan, some have those Western southern music feel bearing affinity to Santana, some have the country touch with the violin filling up the gaps. The folk tone voice of Raghu Dixit is amazing with a tremendous range it fetches.
